Peacocks are known for their vibrant and elaborate plumage, particularly the long, iridescent tail feathers of the male, called a "train". These feathers, which can be up to 60% of the bird's body length, are adorned with distinctive eye-like markings. Peacocks are sexually dimorphic, meaning males and females have different appearances. Males are larger and more colorful, while females, known as peahens, are smaller and have duller coloration, lacking the elaborate train.
